East Coast Carriage Rides was a golden opportunity for Stephen Legge and partners. Stephen had horses for a number of years and wanted to make his hobby into a seasonal career. He approached CBDC Trinity Conception and felt the Atlantic Canada Opportunity Agency’s SEED Capital Program was the proper fit for his business needs. He opened his business in June 2005 and was very busy for the summer season. He provides horse drawn carriage rides for weddings, anniversaries, parades, festivals, fundraisers, or any other function that is happening on the Baccalieu Trail. He dresses up in proper attire and has materials for the two horses to wear as well, just to add a more professional touch. Children and people love to see “Ben”, Stephen’s 14 year old Clydesdale and 4 year old “Precious” as part of any function that is happening in local communities. Stephen envisioned taking his hobby with horses and providing a job as well as a service that he thoroughly enjoys. He thanks CBDC Trinity Conception for making what was once a fun hobby into a rewarding business. If you would like to book an appointment, please call Steve at 588-2115.
